Tuesday proved to be a busy day for local emergency workers in Chattooga County.  In addition to the wreck on Taylor’s Ridge that shut down traffic for over two hours, there were multiple wrecks throughout the county on Tuesday; most were not serious involving injuries.

Fire crews were kept busy as well with small fires.  A fire was reported on Williams Cemetery Road.  Someone was burning outside.  The Department of Natural Resources was called in.  Also, a small grass fire was reported on Owens Dairy Road.   Residents are reminded that Chattooga County, along with most of North Georgia, remains under a burn ban that went into affect May1st.

No outdoor burning is permitted.
