While Chattooga County has lost it’s K-9 drug sniffing dog, another area police force has added a dog to it’s force.

This canine will be used to sniff out bombs instead of drugs.  The Calhoun Police Department has recently purchased a German Shepherd that will be used to sniff out any potential bombs.  According to the Calhoun Police Department they receive around 8 bomb threats a year.

Last month, Chattooga County Sheriff John Everett said that his department had sold the drug dog purchased earlier this year to Dade County.
