Calhoun Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in the Kensington subdivision.

Neighbors reported hearing a loud fight Monday morning, and the sister of one of the victims called police after she could not get in touch with her.

Police entered the home Tuesday at 601 Blackwood Terrace and found the bodies of a man and woman.

Neighbors said the two were married last year.

Calhoun Police Chief Garry Moss said his department is treating the incident as a murder-suicide.

Witnesses said several police cars are at the home, located across Belwood Road from Prime Outlet Center.

A Gordon County 911 dispatcher confirmed that CPD is at the scene but could not provide further details.

A GBI investigative team arrived at the home shortly before noon.

No names have been released pending notification of next of kin.
