Almost all of the local candidates that will appear on the November General Election ballot appeared at the Chattooga Farm Bureau political forum held Thursday evening at the Chattooga County Civic Center.
State Senator Jeff Mullis and his Democratic challenger Bruce Coker started the forum, followed by State Representative Barbara Massey Reece and her challenger Republican Betty Brady. All five of the men running for Superior Court Judge appeared at the event.
Chattooga County Candidates for Tax Commissioner Lamar Canada and incumbent Kathy Vanpelt Brown attended. The only local politician not at the forum was Republican Fondren Wright who is also seeking the tax commissioner’s job.
The four Democrats running for Sheriff at the event included incumbent Ralph Kellett and challengers Aubrey "Smitty" Smith, Daryll Reynolds and John Everett.
All five of those seeking the county commissioners post attended the event as well.
