A fifth grade teacher from Cartersville has been sentenced to 5 years – which she may serve on probation – a thousand dollar fine and must surrender her teaching license after she plead guilty to sexual battery. 

The teacher was accused of performing oral sex on a fifteen year old male student and was originally charged with two counts of child molestation but under a plea-deal was allowed to plead to sexual battery. 

Gina Leigh Sabin, 41, of 13 Twelve Oaks Drive in Cartersville, pleaded guilty to two counts of felony sexual battery in a negotiated deal with prosecutors.
