AM1180 Chattooga County Radio reported yesterday that agents in Cherokee County, Alabama had made a bust in the "Cartoon Character" Drugs that have recently surfaced in Northest Alabama and Northwest Georgia.
Cherokee County, Alabama law enforcement officials seized over $7,000 in cash along with a large quantity of the drugs which have been made into tablets that look like cartoon characters.
Sheriff John Everett of Chattooga County stated that the drugs have turned up in Chattooga County as well. Everett told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio yesterday that he was pleased that the Drug Agents in Alabama had made the bust. However, law enforcement officials still want the public to be aware of these dangerous drugs, since they hold a special risk for children who might mistake the drugs for vitamins or candy.
