According to a news release from Chief Steve Walden of the Cedar Bluff, Alabama Police Department,  several burglaries and thefts in the area have had the Cedar Bluff Police Department working many hours of overtime in an attempt to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen property.

Thanks to the dedication of officers and numerous tips from the community, some arrests are showing signs that things may be taking a turn for the good.

On Friday February 5, one suspect was arrested as he was caught with a stolen ATV while trespassing on private property. This past Friday a few more suspects were arrested on unrelated charges, however, the investigations led to more information that these suspects were involved in some of the thefts of additional ATVs. A search of a residence resulted in the recovery of more stolen property.

The Cedar Bluff Police Department wants the community to know that they will continue to work diligently every day to investigate each case that is reported, but they strongly depend on the ongoing assistance from the citizens to provide the much needed information to ensure the capture and prosecution of all of the suspects. The investigation is far from being over as there are several more arrests to come.

Anyone with information concerning crime in the Town of Cedar Bluff call the department with any tips or concerns at (256) 779-6835.
