An Alabama man remained at the Floyd County Jail Wednesday morning on felony aggravated assault charges after he allegedly tried to ram another vehicle with his own, reports stated.

According to reports from the Floyd County Jail:

Matthew Cobe Causey, 47, of a Hwy. 9 address in Cedar Bluff, Ala., was jailed on felony and misdemeanor charges after he allegedly chased a car to an address in the 4300 block of Morton Bend Road.

Reports stated Causey tried to ram a vehicle twice, once on the roadway and once in a private driveway he’d been ordered to stay away from.

Floyd County Police arrested Causey in Cave Spring around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Causey remained in jail without bail on felony charges of aggravated assault and aggravated assault under the family violence act and misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked and criminal trespass.
