A called meeting last week of the Cedar Bluff Town Council was held to verify that the town has a petition calling for a municpal election to permit the sale of alcohol in the city limits.  Alabama allows individual municipalities to sell alcohol, even when located in a "dry county" like Cherokee County, Alabama.

The town council in Cedar Bluff confirmed that enough signatures were on a petition to allow for a June 1st election ballot measure on alcohol sales in the town located on Weis Lake just south of Chattooga County.
