Gerald Palatini, 52, 87 Club View Drive, Cedartown, was arrested Friday after a warrant was issued from the Polk County Police Department, according to Polk County Jail records. Records state he is charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Palatini has been released on a property bond. Records indicate the total amount of that bond was $102,000.  Palatini has a dental practice in Cedartown.

.The arrest stemmed from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) task force investigation, called the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, under the direction of the bureau’s High Tech Investigations Unit.

The task force consists of multiple agencies sharing information on those seeking out and disseminating child pornography and also a front-line investigation using undercover law enforcement officers posing as juveniles on line to find sexual predators.
