An Alabama woman was arrested Sunday after warrants stated that she forged a check at a Rome bank.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Tammy Jo Young, 41, of 514 Hazel Street in Centre, Ala., was arrested by Floyd County police around 11:40 a.m. She was charged with felony forgery in the second degree and two misdemeanor counts of drugs not kept in the original container.
Police say they found Young in the 4000 block of Black’s Bluff Road with a bottle containing pills of Lorcet and Xanax when the bottle was marked for Levothyroxine. Young also had warrants out for her arrest from the Rome Police Department that stated that in October, she drew a check for $100 from an account at United Community Bank with a forged signature.
She remains in jail without bail.
