Christmas is just around the corner and the Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce urges Chattooga County Residents to Shop Local.

Chattooga County doesn’t have a lot of retail businesses compared to neighboring areas and Chamber Director David Tidmore explains why shopping local is important.  Tidmore says that shopping local helps with our roads and bridges, the local schools and that ultimately affects property taxes.

Tidmore says he hopes Chattooga County residents understand the importance of shopping locally and responding to the chamber’s shop local campaign this holiday season. He said one of the largest amounts of money spent in Chattooga County is in November and December.
