U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss was in Northwest Georgia over the weekend urging Republicans to get out the vote.
Chambliss is in the fight of his career hoping for a victory over Democratic challenger Jim Martin after failing to get a majority vote in the general election on November 4th. Chambliss was in Calhoun on Saturday stumping for votes. Chambliss urged Republicans to turn out the vote on December 2nd in the run-off election.
In Chattooga County Chambliss received about 55% of the vote in the general election. However, Jim Martin did lead in the Coldwater precinct and was only 4 votes away from Chabliss in the Cloudland precinct.
