Saxby Chambliss appears to have beaten Democrat Jim Martin for the U.S. Senate Seat.  It would appear the Martin has been unable to turn out the Democratic base that had come out in the General Election pushing Chambliss into a runoff election with Martin.

Chambliss leads Martin with about a 20 point lead in the vote count.  In Chattooga County the results are about the same.  Martin was unable to carry any precincts except for the Coldwater precinct, although he did come in close at Cloudland loosing by only 8 votes to Chambliss.
