The Town of Lyerly is going to be having a Severe Weather Awareness Day this coming Saturday from 10 AM until 2 PM at the Lyerly Town Hall and AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio will be on hand to broadcast live from the event from 10 AM until 1 PM.

The town is planning to sound the newly installed tornado siren on that day and also will be hearing from a special speaker from the National Weather Service at 11 AM.  The Lyerly Fire Department will be on hand to sell BBQ plates as a fund raiser that day.

During AM 1180’s live broadcast we will be giving away a free weather radio each hour of the broadcast.  All you have to do to register is come by the AM 1180 booth and register to win the day of the event.
