Customers of the Town of Trion’s Gas Department may want to think twice before the ask that their gas meter be re-read. Trion Gas Superintendent Mike Hughes told AM 1180 that effective the first of this month, the Town of Trion will be charging gas customers to go back out and re-read gas meters. If the meter has been misread there will be no fee, however if the original meter reading was correct the customer will be charged $30 for the re-read. If you have any questions about the new policy you can call Mike Hughes, gas superintendent for the Town of Trion at 706-734-7642.
