On Tuesday AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio reported on a Gordon County man that struck a train at a railroad crossing in Calhoun.

Charges are pending against the man who attempted to drive around the lowered gates at a railroad crossing and was hit by an oncoming train.

Jerry Charles, 60, was treated and released from Floyd Medical Center in Rome following the 7 a.m. Monday wreck at U.S. 41 and Ga. 156.  Gordon County officials say that charges will be forthcoming regarding that accident.
