AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio has been receiving calls this morning saying that WRCB Channel 3  in Chattanooga reported that the alarm at Hays State Prison did not go off on Monday morning.

Many listeners have told us that they heard the alarm.  AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio spoke with WRCB just moments ago.  An assistant news director told us that they would follow up on their story.

According to the Department of Corrections the Alarm did sound, however they have not confirmed what time the alarm started sounding.  Within moments of the prison alarm system sounding listeners began calling AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio asking what had happened on Monday morning.

AM 1180 will have an update from the news conference this morning in the 12 Noon newscast.
