The Chattooga County Board of Education held their regular monthly meeting Monday night. Several items under Financial Management were discussed and unanimously voted on, many of which were invoices for school maintenance projects. The Board also approved various fundraisers for county schools. Under Personnel the Board approved the resignation of Gordon Boyd, Regular Bus Driver; Willa Dean Sentell, SMS Food Service Asst.; Jan Stoker, CHS Special Ed. Parapro. The following recomendations for hire were also approved under Personnel: John Worsham, Supervisor Maintenance, Facilities and GRounds; Brandon Biship, PE Parapro at LMES; Tina Cordle, Special Ed. Parapro at CHS; Tonya Hughes, Special Ed. parapro at LMES; Adrianna Thompson, Kindergarten parapro at LES; Larry Burnette, Full Time Bus Driver; Chris Thompson, Regular Part Time Custodian; Barbara Dawdy, Regular Part Time Food Service Asst.; and Margaret Fulmer, Regular Part Time Food Service Asst. A transfer was approved for Carol Allen as an SES Custodian. Approved as substitute teachers were the following:Brandi James, Sub.Tchr-Certified; Jeannette Mize, Sub Tchr-Certified; Jean Adele, Cynthia Bell, Carolyn Gentry, Jeremy Heathcock, April Hunter. Angela Kendrick, Sabrina Middleton, Jayne Short, Cathy Stallings, Marcie Stamper, Trey Thrasher, Hannah Turner; Sub Custodian: Chad Anthony, Bobby Lawson, James Morgan, Sub Custodian & Food Service: Bobie Jo Brazelton, Tammie Rena Moore; Sub Food Service: Willa Dean Sentell and Miranda Morgan. A classified termination was approved for Cindy Brown as SMS Special Ed. parapro.
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Monday , October 6, 2008.
