The Chattooga County Board of Education met in their regular monthly meeting last Monday night at the old Pennville School.  On the agenda was a “Board Consideration of Recommendation for approval on update on progress of the Academy and possibly Charter School Option.” The Board voted to remove the item from the monthly agenda and to put off the item until a further meeting. The Board also approved a trip for two Chattooga High School students to attend the Tulsa Welding School competition in Jacksonville, FL.  That competition was held on Friday of last week.  The students received a $500 scholarship, each to attend the meeting.
