The Chattooga County Board of Education is moving forward with plans that will raise property taxes in Chattooga County.  The BOE adopted a millage rate which will increase property taxes in Chattooga County by 0.30%.   The board will have two public hearings regarding the proposed increase at the Chattooga County Board Room located at the old Pennville School off Highway 27.  The first two meetings will be on August 14th at 8 AM and 6 PM.  The third meeting will be held on August 21st at 6 PM at the same location.
