Two new faces will be sitting at the table at the next Chattooga County Board of Education meeting in January.  Coach Ron Williams and former teacher and administrator Alma Lewis will be taking their new positions on the board when they meet January 6th.  Williams and Lewis won their elections to the seats in the Democratic primary last summer with no Republican opposition in November.

Retiring Board Chairman "Fuzz" Anderson had served on the Chattooga County Board of Education for sixteen years.  The last seven of those years, Mr. Anderson had served as Board Chairman replacing long-time chairman Leroy Massey in 2003.  Mrs. "Dot" Johnson had served as vice-chairman for the past seven years and retired this year after twenty years of service on the board.

When the Chattooga County Board of Education meets next week, one of their first items of business will be to elect a new board chairman and vice-chairman.
