A Chattooga County man was arrested Monday afternoon after police said he attempted to pawn jewelry that was known to be stolen.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Jonathan Breeyear Sausville, 24, of 526 Norton Road in Summerville, was arrested on warrants by Chattooga County officials around 2:45 p.m. He was charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property.
According to warrants by Rome police investigators, Sausville attempted to pawn more than $6,000 worth of jewelry at several locations in Rome in April. The jewelry was reported stolen earlier that month.
He remains in jail without bail.
