A Chattooga County teenager is scheduled to stand trial as an adult next week in Chattooga County Superior Court.

Joseph Damien Conan Hardy was arrested last summer by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department and charged as an adult for multiple counts of child molestation, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy.

Hardy, who was under the age of 18 at the time of his arrest, has been incarcerated at the Rome Youth Detention Center for the crimes that are alleged to have taken place between September of 2007 and June of 2008.

Court records indicate that Hardy’s attorney is Steven A. Miller and the case will be tried by Chris Arndt of the District Attorney’s office.
