Around 25 people gathered at the Subligna Community Center on Tuesday evening for a meeting of the Chattooga County Water District Board.  The meeting was held in Subligna so the customers in the Gore-Subligna area could address board members with any concerns about their new service.

Commissioner Jason Winters told those in attendance that there would be some initial problems and concerns with the new system but asked the customers to please be patient.  Winters said "we aren’t going to be turning any water meters off for the next few weeks if there are any issues about water usage."

The Water Board approved adjustments in the water bill for six customers that had leaks that were not their fault on the first bill.  Commissioner Winters urged those in attendance at the meeting to spread the word to other customers that if they have any issues with their intial water bills they should contact the Water District or the Commissioner’s office.
