An Alabama woman attempting to elude police after a routine traffic stop in Cedar Bluff, Alabama wound up with shots being fired into her car by Chattooga County Deputies.
According to reports 45 year old Beverly Parker Crane was pulled over by Cedar Bluff police and left the scene. She was persued by Cedar Bluff police who called for backup from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s department. Cherokee County asked for help from Chattooga County as the woman was headed on Cherokee County Road 99 towards the Georgia line.
According to reports Chattooga County deputies used a spike strip to stop the vehichle. Also, reports indicate that shots were fired during the incident by law enforcement officers but there were no injuries.
AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News spoke with Sheriff Ralph Kellett this morning, who indicated that the incident is under investigation and that a press release would be given when details of the investigation are available.
Crane was booked into the Chattooga County jail on Saturday with charges of D.U.I. driving on suspended license, hold for Cherokee County Alabama, possession of meth and aggravated assault.
