The Indians have had some nail biters all year long and you have to go back to Week 1 for the last time they pulled one out. It happened for the second time Friday night against Gordon Central. The Indians used a stifling defense and a blocked field goal to escape with a 17-15 victory against the Warriors. Both teams were expected to score a lot of points coming into the game, but the chilly night cooled off both teams. The lack of scoring didn’t keep the game from having big plays and every time the Indians needed one they got it. In the final seconds, and with Gordon Central 42 yards from winning, the Indians used a deflection by Jayden Porche and an interception by Nathan Schuster to seal the victory. The Indians will be at home next week against the Dade County Wolverines for Senior Night.
