The Chattooga County Health Department will once again be taking appointments for services starting December 1, 2011.
According to Health Department Director Cheryl Bandy, the health department has tried several times to see patients by appointments. And they will try again on the first of December. Bandy explains that it hasn’t worked in the past because many patients don’t keep their appoitments. But, due to many patients requesting the practice they’ll try it again. Bandy says not always, but somedays the wait time with the first come, first serve, status at the health department has kept clients waiting up to two hours. She said that’s rare, but it’s happened.
The Chatooga County Health Department is located at 60 Farrar Drive in Summerville.
