An accident on Highway 100 on Friday afternoon sent a Chattooga County man to the hospital in Chattanooga.   Trooper Chiesa with the Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that the accident happened around 2 PM on Friday afternoon.

Apparently Buddy Bullard of a Summerville address was traveling west bound on Highway 100 when he lost control of his Toyota Tacoma and left the roadway. Bullard went off the east shoulder of the road and traveled around 200 feet and crossed over a driveway at 12287 Highway 100.

When Bullard hit the driveway his automobile went airborne and spun clockwise and landed facing east bound.

Bullard was transported to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga where he remains in serious condition.  Troopers indicated that speed was a factor in the accident.
