Everyday should be a recycle day, but if you aren’t into the habit of conserving Chattooga County is giving you a chance to Go Green. Tuesday, November 15th, is America Recycles Day and the Chattooga County Commissioner’s office along with the Cooperative Extension office want to provide county residents with access to the county recycle bins to discard their unwanted plalstic, paper, and aluminum.

November 15 isn’t just a day to dump recyclables it will also serve as an educational day. The public is invited to come learn new ideas about recycling, water conservation, and green living. At Tuesday’s recycling event there will be rain barrel demonstrations, information on grass cycling and water conservation, and valuable information on how to create green cleaning products to save money, and help you, your family and the environment. Also, there will be information given on Chattooga County’s recycling program. There will also be giveaways from Keep America Beautiful.

The County Recycling event is Tuesday, November 15 from 10sm – 2pm at the Chattooga County Civic Center. Bring your recyclables and your desire to make our wold a greener place for future generations.
