Supplies have been collected in Chattooga County for the past two weeks since the April 27 storms that left so many of our neighboring counties in Georgia and Alabama with a large amount of destruction and devastation.

The Town of Lyerly has been the collection point for the past week for the supplies headed to Trenton, Ringgold and DeKalb County in Alabama.  Organizers say that they are wrapping up tornado relief efforts as far as donations go this week. If you have supplies to donate (water, camping supplies, canned goods) please do so by Thursday at 4:30 so they can get it out on Friday’s truck.

Take those donations to the Lyerly Town Hall during normal business hours.  You can call 706-895-2611 for more information.
