Black Friday is the name given to the day after Thanksgiving when retailers hope to move a lot of inventory as people prepare for the Christmas Holiday. Nationwide retail sales are not expected to be spectacular this Christmas Season.
Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce Director David Tidmore says that Chattooga County residents can make a big impact on our local economy by choosing to spend more money within the county. Tidmore told AM 1180 that if residents would consider spending just $100 more per month within the county at area merchants, it could mean a $1 million impact on our sales tax collections in Chattooga County.
Black Friday is a good chance for Chattooga County residents to spend money locally and have an impact on the local economy that benefits our roads, bridges, law enforcement and schools.
