Some residents of Chattooga County were recently polled by an Atlanta – based firm about their concerns and thoughts on the long-term plans of the county. The Chattanooga Times – Free Press reported over the weekend that the results of the survey showed that Chattooga County residents were generally happy with the condition of the schools and the low-crime in the county, but were concerned about jobs, flood control and lack of recreational activities in Chattooga County.
Mactec used online surveys, social networking and public forums to gauge residents’ opinions on the counties’ needs and assets. From those opinions, the consulting firm will build full plans to be unveiled at public meetings set for Aug. 23 in Chattooga.
