Chattooga County School Superintendent Jimmy Lenderman told AM 1180 that next year there will be a 5K run in Summerville to benefit the Chattooga High School Booster Club.
Lenderman said that residents can expect to find out more information about the Chattooga Tribe Challenge 5K Run & Health Walk in the near future. The run will have it’s own web site where particpants can register for the event. The event will start at Dowdy Park in Summerville and go up Commerce Street and then to different areas around Summerville.
Lenderman said that it will be a good fund-raiser for the Booster Club and will encourage tourism in downtown Summerville. Be looking for more information coming after the first of the year.
