The Chattooga County Water Board will begin interviewing candidates for employment at a called meeting this evening at the water district office in Trion.

The Water District is looking to hire two new employees within the next several weeks.  Earlier this year, the district began accepting applications for the two available jobs.  Over 90 applications were submitted.  The water district board narrowed the potential employees down to 11 applications at their last meeting.

With the expansion of the water district in the Gore-Subligna and Cloudland areas there is an expected increase in the work load for water district employees.
