The Chattooga County Water Board will hold their regular monthly meeting this evening.  At last month’s meeting of the water district the board heard a report from Chairman Sammy Lee about the new building going up at the Water District office.

The board voted earlier this year to construct the building to house the new equipment that was recenlty purchsed, including two trucks and trailors and a new backhoe.  The equipment was purchased due to the expansion of the Water District in the Gore-Subligna and Cloudland areas.  Mr. Lee told board members that the new metal building would be delivered in 11-12 weeks.

Commissioner Jason Winters outlined plans for future expansion of the water district to reach areas of the county that still do not have water.  The Water Board’s meeting will be held this evening at the Water District office on Old Highway 27 in Trion at 6 PM.
