The Georgia Department of Labor has published a report using Census projections which show that Chattooga County is expected to increase in population by over 20% by the year 2015.  The study says that Bartow County will show the highest increase in population in Northwest Georgia, surpassing Floyd County as the county with the highest population count in the Coosa Valley Region…in fact Floyd County’s rate of population growth will be less than Bartow County, Polk County and Chattooga County.  Floyd County’s population is only expected to grow by 16.5% compared to Chattooga at 20.2%, Gordon County at 44%, and Polk County at 22% and Bartow County a whopping 60.4%!
