On Friday afternoon an accident occurred at Little River Falls in Alabama involving  three  children. The children were injured after being swept over Little River Falls.
DeKalb Ambulance Service Chief of Operations Mark Ford said the incident happened about 1 p.m.

A 10-year-old, 8-year-old and 5-year-old all apparently went over the falls at the same time. According to reports, the 5-year-old, a girl, suffered serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The 8-year-old was not injured, and the 10-year-old suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to DeKalb Regional Medical Center, where the child was treated and released. All three children are from Gaylesville.
