The Chattooga Indians faced Banks County Friday in the first round of the playoff series. Chattooga gave up nine runs in both games and were swept out of the playoffs by 8-AA three-seed Banks County.
The Indians lost 9-0 in game one followed by a 9-4 loss in game two. Chattooga’s Colby Luther had a home run and a single in game two to lead the offense. Jared Nelson and Immani Christopher also added two hits apiece.
“We were a little nervous, because it’s the first time our kids have been in the playoffs,” said Chattooga coach Tyler Driskell. “I’m really proud of our kids because not many people expected us to be here.”
Chattooga finished the year second in 7-AA behind Calhoun. The CHS Indians Baseball team and Head Coach Tyler Driskell had a fantastic season and they are to be congratulated for their tremendous efforts.
