The Chattooga High School Indians basketball teams will begin play in the 2nd round of region play tonight. These games will determine spots for the playoffs. Tonight the varsity boys will face Model at GA Highlands College. Game time is scheduled for 8:30pm. The varsity girls will take on Model Saturday night at 8:30pm. If the boys are successful tonight they will face the winnner of the Rockmart vs. Sonoraville game on Monday, February 22nd at 4pm. If the varsity girls pull a victory on Saturday they will face the winner of the Pepperell vs. Dade County game on Monday at 5:30pm. Both teams are anticipating victories and are looking to secure playoff slots. Indians coach Lamar Turner said that the Model game will be a challenge, but nothing that the CHS boys can’t conquer." The last time the CHS boys met with Model they lost by a 2 point shot in the last second of the game. The CHS girls were defeated by Model in regular season play. Turner stated that both Indian teams would be "working to rebound and basically to get out and run and play the Chattooga Basketball they are fully capapable of." We would like to wish good luck to the Indian teams. Be sure to catch all the action here on your hometown radio station as the games will be broadcast live by Robert Beach.
