AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News spoke with Judge Jon Payne on Tuesday about the upcoming primary election next week.  Judge Payne stated that because the Holland Fire Department has not been re-built, voters in the Coldwater Precinct will be voting in the primary elections at the Pond Springs AME Zion Church in the Holland Community.  Payne said that this a temporary move and that when the new fire hall is built voting will resume at that location.

Payne also stated that voters in the Cloudland Precinct will have a new permanent polling place at the Cloudland Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.  The church is located off of Highway 157 at Cloudland.  The move came about because of inadequate facilities at the recreation center at Cloudland.

Payne said that he had ordered new signs that will be posted at the locations to help voters realize the change in polling places in the Coldwater and Cloudland precincts.  Tune in this afternoon at 12:45 to hear the complete interview with Judge Payne, county election superintendent.
