Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters held his regular monthly county commissioner’s meeting on Thursday evening at the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex in Summerville.  There were very few in attendance at the meeting. Commissioner Winters spoke about the county receiving a $73,000 grant from the Georgia Trauma Care Network that will allow Chattooga County EMS to purchase another new ambulance for Chattooga County.   Commissioner Winters said that the grant was applied for in January, and that he really didn’t expect to get the money.  The commissioner said he is currently moving money around to meet the county’s part of the expense since the grant is a matching grant.  The cost for a new ambulance is around $110,000.00 If you would like to hear the Commissioner’s Meeting in it’s entirety tune in on Friday evening at 7 PM and then again on Saturday at 10:15 AM and on Sunday at 5 PM to hear the broadcast of the meeting.
