Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters changed the time for his monthly meeting yesterday due to a conflict in schedules. Winters said that the Trion Town Council had requested him to appear at their meeting this Thursday which was also scheduled for 6 PM.
This month’s County Commissioner Meeting has been changed from 6 PM to 5 PM at the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex. Winters told AM 1180 that he is considering making that the permanent time for his meeting. Winters consulted with others that regularly attend the meeting including SKY 21 Television in Summerville and The Summerville News about the time change, and said that in the future he will most likely hold his meetings at 5 PM the fourth Thursday of the month instead of 6 PM.
AM 1180 will broadcast the commissioner’s meeting this coming Friday at 12:45 PM and again on Saturday at 10:15 AM and Sunday at 5:30 PM.
