Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters held his regular monthly meeting on Thursday evening at the commissioner’s office in Summerville. It was a short meeting with only two items on the agenda.
First, the commissioner talked about an agreement signed regarding water monitoring at Regal Springs located in southeastern Chattooga County.
Secondly, the commissioner thanked Summerville Attorney Bobby Lee Cook for the donation of property on Washington Street to the county. The county accepted the deed on the building which will become an open-air facility with tables and possibily an amphitheater with a stage.
Prison crews were working on the building on Thursday.
