Chattooga County Commssioner Jason Winters Wednesday opened several bids for various county services and supplies.

Bids were received for jail meals and solid waste disposal, as well as supplies needed by the county.

Those submitting bids for jail meals were Jim’s Family Restaurant and Pops Buffett.

Four businesses submitted bids for solid waste hauling. They are B& D Enterprises and JKJ Transport, both of Summerville; MBI of Fort Payne, Alabama; and Mike Dawson of Gore.

There was only bid each for tires and diesel fuel. They are Summerville Tire and Bagley Distributing respectively.

Three out of town businesses submitted bids for tile. They are Cherokee Tile of Macon, SE Culvert of Auburn and Contech of Inglewood Tennessee. Winters said he will open the bids and make a decision today.
