Congressman Phil Gingrey toured some of the areas devestated by last week’s flood.  Gingrey came to Chattooga County on Sunday afternoon and toured the areas with State Representative Barbara Massey Reece and Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters.

Commissioner Winters told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that Gingrey was concerned about the amount of damage in Trion.  The group toured the Park Avenue and Frogtown areas of Trion and also the Tate Road area in Trion.  They met with Mayor Ben Perry at Trion City Hall.

Representative Reece told AM 1180 that the Congressman was concerned about the amount of damage in the area.

Gingrey also spent some time talking with some of the flood victims in Trion.
