BJ’s Convenience store and TJ’s Package Store in Lyerly were recently issued a citation by the Georgia Department of Revenue.  The store’s citations stemmed from an undercover investigation conducted by the Department of Revenue in which a minor was sold alcohol at both locations.

The Town of Lyerly discussed the citations at its work session on Tuesday of this week.  Mayor Josh Wyatt said that a letter had been sent to the stores detailing the violation of the town’s ordinances.

This is the first offence for both BJ’s Store and TJ’s – the only liquor store in Chattooga County.  A second offence could mean a license suspension.
