Due to state mandated cut backs, Coosa Valley Technical College is eliminating six positions.  The college will save $300,000 by cutting the positions which include two vacant faculty positions and three part-time adminisitrative positions and one full time administrative position.  In addition to these personell cuts the college will save another $400,000 by going to a four day work week on the the Gordon and Polk Campuses and limits on travel along with a reduction in instructional supply budgets.

Coosa Valley Tech and Northwestern Tech will merge next July wich will result in a combined $500,000 cut in budget.
