The 61st Annual Coosa Valley Fair begins Tuesday and lasts until Saturday. It is expected that in excess of 40,000 people will attend the event over the next 5 days.
When asked about what is different this year the President of the Coosa Valley Fair Association Dan Caesar said,” This year we are a non-smoking fair. We have set up a designated smoking area near the village building.”
Caesar added,” We are also pushing recycling this year with recycling containers set up throughout the fair grounds.”
The Brian Staples Animal Encounters Show will be returning this year and will include a white tiger cub, a black leopard cub, a 1-year-old female lion, monkeys and other animals.
Caesar said,” We always have about 34 rides and there is a new free-fall ride this year that we are looking forward to getting.”
The rides arrived at the fair grounds Monday afternoon.
