Country music hitmaker Doug Supernaw has passed away at his home in Texas at the age of 60.
Born in Bryan, Texas, Doug Supernaw moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1987, where he found work as a session songwriter. After four years in Nashville, he moved back to Texas, where he founded a band called Texas Steel. In 1993, Supernaw signed with BNA Entertainment. After releasing his debut album, Red And Rio Grande, Supernaw gained recognition with singles “Honky Tonk Foolin’”, “Reno” and “I Don’t Call Him Daddy”, which became his signature song and securing a gold record. In total, Supernaw recorded four studio albums in total with two additional greatest hit projects showcasing his career.
Supernaw passed away after battling lung and bladder cancer.

Me and my husband were fans of Doug Supernaw. We loved him music, and just a week or so before we head of his passing we were talking about him. How we would love to hear some of music again.

I didn’t really know most of his music I remember though an album called Stars and stripes The Beach boys and country stars got together and I remember him singing Long tall texting with Mike Love he will be missed love and prayers to his family and friends and all who knew him

My thoughts and prayers are with the Doug Supernaw Family and friends. He suffered for a long time battling with Cancer until his body became tired. That is when God called out his Angel’s to take him home.
Now he is home singing his songs in heaven. Rest in peace…forever AMEN.
